Is a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing really useful for a fiction writer?
I’ve heard a lot of people taking those courses and they end up in dead-end jobs unrelated to creative writing. It seems useless to me. The great writers of the past never took those courses, but they wrote masterpieces. What’s in those courses anyway? Can creative writing even be taught??
What are the major differences between an MA in English and an MFA in creative writing?
Which is harder? Which would provide more jobs??
