Creative Writing

I want to work the occasional evening teaching creative writing in a community college or something like that…. already got a few ideas of how to go about this but wouldn’t mind a few more.

Im based in London have worked as a secretary for more than 10 years and have an HND in Business Studies but am tired of admin work and office politics and would like to do something more creative- change careers.

I write in my spare time and have attended an advanced writing course for the past 3 years. I like reading and would like to see if I could train to teach creative writing in further education or and English /English literature. I would also be grateful if I could get any info on what qualifications you need to be able to teach English as a first language and Basic literacy skills.

Any advice would be great regarding training in London.

I have a BA in psychology, an MA in English, and an MFA in writing. My work experience is in business/sales, social services/psychology, editing/publishing, and education. I am single, have a large, supportive family, yet am not tied down to any person, location, or thing. I am healthy and fit and manage things appropriately. What should I do now that I’ve worked hard to establish such a background? Where do I go from here?

If you are knowledgeable about teaching in Los Angeles, I’d be grateful if you could let me know how to become a substitute teacher, and how to apply for an emergency / temporary teaching credential. I have a BA in Literature and a MFA in writing, and would like to become a high school English or creative writing teacher.
